GlowWrx is owned by Jose Grados, who also owns A Better Fence Construction and Active Landscape Management — two Oklahoma companies that build and maintain outdoor spaces across both metros. The same trained crews that set fence posts in July and manage commercial landscapes in September are the ones hanging your lights in November.
That is the whole idea. Most Christmas light companies staff up with temporary help in October and disappear in January. We started from the opposite direction: experienced crews who were already on our payroll, already trained on ladders and rooflines, already accountable to our name.
Why a Construction Company Started Hanging Christmas Lights
Outdoor work in Oklahoma has a hard season. When the ground freezes and the weather turns, fence construction slows down and landscape maintenance thins out. Every contractor in this state knows what comes next: you either find work for your crews or you lose them until spring.
Jose was not willing to lose them. These were skilled people who had been trained, who knew how to work safely at height, and who had built a reputation with our customers. Laying them off every December and hoping they came back in March was not a plan — it was a slow way to bleed the best crews in the business.
So we put them on Christmas lights. At first it was only offered to our existing fence and landscape clients — people who already knew our crews by name and trusted them on their property. It kept the teams together through the winter and it gave our customers one less contractor to vet.
GlowWrx was created so we could offer the same professional installation to the entire community, not just our existing client list. Same crews. Same insurance. Same standard of work. The only thing that changed is that you no longer have to be a fence or landscape customer to hire us.
Today GlowWrx runs dedicated crews in both the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metros, handling residential rooflines, commercial properties, and HOA entrances from the first design walk in the fall through takedown and storage after the holidays.

GlowWrx came out of that last part. Keeping a skilled crew together through an Oklahoma winter meant finding real work for them, and Christmas lights turned out to be work our crews were already qualified to do better than most: ladder safety, roofline access, clean lines, and a customer’s property treated with care.

Who owns GlowWrx?
Jose Grados, who also owns A Better Fence Construction and Active Landscape Management. All three are Oklahoma companies serving the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metros. When you call, you are dealing with a local owner, not a national brand’s franchisee.
Are you a franchise?
No. GlowWrx is independently owned and operated here in Oklahoma. Your call is not routed to another state, and pricing is not set by a corporate office that has never seen your roofline.
Are your installers seasonal hires?
No. Our installers are crew members from our fence construction and landscape management companies who work for us year-round. Christmas light installation is how we keep experienced crews employed through the Oklahoma winter instead of laying them off every December.
Why did a construction company start doing Christmas lights?
To keep our crews working through the off-season. We started by offering it only to our existing fence and landscape clients. Those customers kept referring neighbors, so we launched GlowWrx to make the same professional service available to everyone in the community.
What happens if a section goes out in the middle of December?
You call us and we come fix it at no charge. We staff crews in both the OKC and Tulsa metros, so most in-season service calls are handled within a couple of days. The lights are ours to maintain for the season.
Do you work on commercial properties too?
Yes. Offices, retail centers, restaurants, and HOA entrances throughout both metros. Commercial work is a large part of what our sister companies already do, so our crews are used to working around business hours and property management requirements.
